What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractors treat problems with your joints, bones and muscles and the effects they have on your nervous system. Working on all the joints of your body, concentrating particularly on the spine, they use their hands to make gentle specific adjustments (the Chiropractic word for
manipulation) to improve the efficiency of your nervous system.

Chiropractic can help improve:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Joint pains
  • hip and knee pain from osteoarthritis
  • General aches and pains from joints,
  • muscle spasms and cramp
  • Sporting aches and pains
  • Headache caused by neck problems
  • Frozen shoulder from back and neck problems
  • Elbow pain or tennis elbow from back and neck problems
  • Prevention of migraine

What does a podiatrist do?

Podiatrists are health care professionals who have been trained to prevent, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate abnormal conditions of the feet and lower limbs. They can give you and your family advice on how to look after your feet and what type of shoes to wear.  They also prevent and correct deformity, relieve pain and keep you mobile and active.

Podiatrists can fit custom-made orthotics to relieve foot pain and can also help with more complex foot problems including preventing, diagnosing and treating injuries related to sports and/or exercise.
