We are pleased to announce that we have a Sports Massage Therapist, Barry Watkins, joining the clinic.
Barry has played rugby at an elite level and has first-hand experience of sports massage / rehabilitation and its importance not only for sports men and women, but those requiring treatment after any muscular injuries through work and daily life.
Barry has not always been a Sports Massage Therapist. Graduating from de Montfort University in 2005 with a BSc in Sport & Exercise (hons), he taught Secondary Science for nine years before changing direction – helping to heal the human body is an area that he feels passionate about.
Barry is committed to furthering both his knowledge and skills and is currently studying for a Masters degree in Sports Rehabilitation Middlesex University. Through this course Barry has furthered his soft tissue knowledge and obtained specialist training in electrotherapy, joint mobilisations, kinesio-taping and rugby pitch-side first aid.
