Rebecca Willard

Rebecca qualified from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1994 and started working in Essex in 1995, establishing Wickford Chiropractic Clinic in 2002. She is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, a Member of the British Chiropractic Association, a Fellow of the College of Chiropractors and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. Following her interest in Chiropractic treatment of children, she commenced a part-time Masters Degree at the University of Portsmouth.

In between treating patients and running the clinic, she finds time to race a sailing dinghy in the summer and snowboard in the winter.

Shaheeda Chowdhury BSc MSc (Chiro) DC

Shaheeda Chowdhury

Shaheeda graduated from the European Institute of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Surrey in 2004 with a Masters degree in Chiropractic, after completing an undergraduate honours degree in Biomedical Science. Shaheeda regularly attends conferences and seminars with a keen interest in health promotion, sports rehabilitation and Paediatrics. She is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, a Member of the British Chiropractic Association and an Associate Member of the College of Chiropractors.

Shaheeda adopts an integrated approach to treatment: she combines specific manipulative therapy, dry needling, exercise and rehabilitation along with advice on nutrition and ergonomics. After work Shaheeda enjoys running, going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.

Tara Craig BSc (Chiro) DC

Tara Craig

Originally from Kenya, Tara came to the UK in order to further her education. Having always had an interest in health, Tara decided to use Chiropractic as the stepping stone to provide good quality healthcare. Her studies took her to South Wales where she completed her degree at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, Glamorgan.

Professionally, Tara likes to take an integrative approach to Chiropractic and healthcare. Tara has a keen interest in rehabilitation and feels that this, together with health awareness, is vital to enhance patient care.

As a family-centered person herself, Tara feels Chiropractic has a lot of offer all from tiny tots to parents and particularly welcomes the mature members to help improve their quality of life. To further develop her career she hopes to complete a Masters in sport and exercise rehabilitation. Tara is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, a Member of the United Chiropractic Association and an Associate Member of the College of Chiropractors.

Ingrid van der Toorn Mtech (Chiro)

Ingrid van der Toorn

Ingrid is the newest member of the team. She graduated in South Africa from the Durban University of Technology. After completing the six year Chiropractic Master’s course in 2006, she decided to move to England and practise here. She is interested in the many different techniques that all fall under the Chiropractic banner and enjoys furthering her skills by attending courses. Ingrid believes in helping people develop and maintain healthy functional spines. She is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, a Member of the British Chiropractic Association and an Associate Member of the College of Chiropractors.

In her free time Ingrid tries to play golf and enjoy running. She also takes pleasure in exploring England and seeing the sights.

Jane Copping

Qualifying at the Royal London Hospital within the dental field, Jane has always enjoyed encouraging others to have a greater understanding of their health both in prevention and cure. Moving into management many years ago Jane joined Wickford Chiropractic Clinic in 2006. Walking and gardening are a couple of her passions which depend on good mobility of limbs, so she is well aware of those aches and pains!

Sue Lighten

Sue Lighten

Sue joined the practice as a part-time receptionist in July 2006, after having been a stay-at-home mum for 5 years. Her previous career had been predominately secretarial and accounts, but she welcomed the change of working environment to a much calmer and more social surrounding. Having first been a patient before becoming an employee, Sue is very familiar with the workings of all the chiropractors in the clinic! Sue has a keen interest in crafts, particularly making hand-made cards, which is her main hobby.
